Ender 3 Pro: Rapid Print Profiles Coming Soon
The Ender 3 Pro is a tank, but the default Cura profiles treat it like a tricycle. To hit the “Cool Zone” of speed versus reliability, I’ve spent the last week tuning the acceleration and flow rates specifically for the Pro’s wider Y-axis stability.
Why 3 Walls?
Most “fast” profiles drop to 2 walls to save time. In my testing at 100mm/s, 2 walls led to significant ghosting and infill bleed-through. Moving to 3 walls at a slightly lower outer-wall speed (60mm/s) gives the part the structural integrity it needs to handle the high-speed infill vibration.
The Flow Secret
When you jump from 50mm/s to 100mm/s, your hotend might struggle to keep up. I found that a 98.5% flow rate actually produces cleaner top surfaces at high speeds by preventing the “plowing” effect of the nozzle through excess plastic.
Installation Protocol
- Download the
.curaprofilefrom the manifest sidebar. - Open Cura > Preferences > Profiles.
- Import the file and ensure your “Material” settings match your actual filament temp.
- Level your bed—high-speed printing is much less forgiving of a bad first layer.
