Roblox Catch a Monster Calculator: Custom Fusion Configs
Our Roblox Catch a Monster calculator started with a familiar question in our house: how many more monsters and materials do we need? The original Catch a Monster tracker helps plan pet rank-up duplicates, fusion materials and evolution costs from the inventory you already own.
Now you can supply the rules yourself. Custom configurations let you add monsters, define rank upgrades, and set fusion and evolution costs without waiting for us to update the supplied monster list. You can also use the tool as a calculator for your own rank-based recipes.
Open the Catch a Monster calculator to follow along.
Choose Game Data or Your Own Setup
The main Monster dropdown still contains the supplied monsters. Selecting one works as before.
Choose Custom config to reveal a second dropdown for your saved configurations, alongside New, Clone, Edit, Export, and Import. Selecting a saved configuration displays its calculator underneath. The main dropdown stays on Custom config, with the supplied monsters still available whenever you want to switch back.
If your configuration contains several monsters, a further selector lets you choose which one to calculate.
1. Create a Configuration
Select Custom config, then New. The editor opens from the right. Give your configuration a recognisable name, such as Practice setup.
You can also use Clone to start from the current configuration and adjust its rules. A clone becomes a separate local configuration when you save it.
The example below uses invented values to demonstrate the calculator; these are not official game requirements.
2. Set Pet Rank-Up Duplicates and Fusion Materials
Under Fusion materials, select Create material and name it Crystals. Creating a material makes it available for recipes; it does not add a cost by itself.
Under Monsters, select Create monster and name it Practice monster. In Ranks & fusion quantities, enter E, D, C as the ranks, lowest first.
Set the upgrade quantities:
| Upgrade | Monsters consumed to produce one upgraded monster |
|---|---|
| E → D | 3 E-rank monsters |
| D → C | 2 D-rank monsters |
Every adjacent pair of ranks needs a quantity. This calculator follows a single monster’s rank progression; it does not combine different monster species into one recipe.
3. Calculate Pet Fusion Costs
In Fusion material costs, select Create fusion cost. Choose Crystals, select the E → D upgrade, and enter 10 as the cost per fusion.
Create another cost for D → C using 25 Crystals.
For this example, starting from nothing and catching only E-rank monsters, one C-rank monster needs six E-rank monsters. The two E → D fusions cost 20 Crystals, and the D → C fusion costs another 25: 45 Crystals altogether.
An upgrade can consume several materials. Add another cost to the same upgrade if it also needs coins or another resource.
4. Plan Evolution Material Costs
Each monster has an Evolutions section with its own Evolution materials list.
- Select Create evolution material and name it Evo stone.
- Select Create evolution and name the variant Evolved practice monster.
- Choose its required rank, such as C.
- Select Create evolution cost, choose Evo stone, and enter 5.
Evolution materials are separate from the fusion-material list. You can reuse them across several variants of the same monster. Add shared material is useful when every evolution consumes the same resource; its cost is added to each variant’s individual costs.
The evolution cards show your material counts against the requirements, with names such as Evo stone: 2 / 5. Evolution costs are displayed separately from the rank-fusion plan.
5. Compare Catch Ranks and Plan Your Next Upgrade
Select Save and use config. If anything needs correcting, the editor highlights the field and explains the problem.
Choose your target rank and future catch rank, then enter the monsters and materials you already own. The calculator updates the catch estimates and material shortages. Each configuration keeps its own inventory, so switching setups does not mix your counts together.
Use Edit to change the selected configuration later. The Updated indicator shows a date; hover or focus it to see the full timestamp and configuration details.
For a longer progression such as E through S, add E, D, C, B, A, S and provide the fusion quantity and material costs for every upgrade. You can then compare how many additional catches you need when starting with different catch ranks. Use requirements you have checked in-game when building a configuration for Roblox Catch a Monster.
Back Up or Share Your Configuration
Export downloads the selected configuration, including its monsters, ranks, materials, fusion rules, and evolutions. It does not include your inventory counts or your other saved configurations.
The filename includes the configuration name. For example, Practice setup exports as cam-tracker-Practice-setup-config.json.
To use a shared file, choose Import. It opens as a new draft for you to review, then Save and use config adds it to your saved configurations.
Configurations and inventories are stored in this browser. They do not automatically sync between devices, and clearing site data can remove them. Keep exported copies of configurations you want to retain; inventory counts are not included in those backups.
Catch a Monster & Custom Calculator FAQ
Is there a calculator for pet fusion costs in Roblox monster games?
Yes. CAM Tracker calculates duplicate requirements and material costs for rank upgrades. Its supplied data is for Roblox Catch a Monster, but custom configurations may also help players of other Roblox games with similar mechanics. Enter the ranks, fusion quantities and material costs for your game to build your own calculator.
How can I calculate pet rank-up duplicates and fusion materials?
Choose a supplied monster or create a custom configuration. Set how many lower-rank copies each upgrade consumes and any materials it requires, then enter your owned counts and target rank. The calculator shows additional catches and material shortages. The worked example above demonstrates the calculation across two upgrades.
Can I compare pet rank progression from E to S online?
Yes, when those ranks and their upgrade rules are configured. Select S as the target, enter the pets you already own at each rank, and change the future catch rank to compare catch requirements. For another game, custom configs let you supply its own ordered ranks and fusion rules.
Is this a Catch a Monster stats calculator or stat simulator?
CAM Tracker plans fusion requirements, rank progression and evolution materials. It does not calculate combat stats or simulate damage. It may still help you work out the resources needed to reach a chosen rank before comparing battle performance elsewhere.
Does the calculator support pet mutations and enhancements?
It does not simulate mutation chances or enhancement bonuses. If an upgrade simply consumes fixed quantities of copies and materials along a rank progression, you may be able to represent its resource requirements with a custom configuration. This estimates those configured costs, not the resulting stats or random outcomes.
Is this a Catch a Monster level calculator?
It calculates rank upgrades such as E to D or A to S. It does not calculate experience points or levelling time. The target rank and future catch rank controls help you plan the catches needed for a fusion goal.
Can players of games other than Catch a Monster use this calculator?
Yes, if the mechanics are similar: a fixed number of copies of one creature at a lower rank produces one at the next rank, optionally consuming materials. Custom configs let you name the creatures, define the rank sequence and set those costs. Games outside Roblox can fit this pattern too. Mixed-species recipes, branching fusion paths and random upgrade success rates are not supported.
Can I share a custom game configuration with other players?
Yes. Select your configuration and choose Export to download its JSON file. Another player can choose Custom config, then Import, review the draft and save it. The file includes recipes and evolution costs, but not your inventory counts. Each player supplies their own inventory.
